Windows 8.1 : Shutdown Problem — Solved
Windows 8.1 takes much time to shutdown.
How to solve Windows 8.1 shutdown problem?
These are some of the frequently asked questions by the ones who has experiencing the shutdown issues in latest windows released by Microsoft, i. e Windows 8.1. Microsoft has released its latest most operating system – Windows 8.1, previously known as Windows Blue, on October 17, 2013. This is the first official update on Windows 8. Microsoft has confirmed that, all the windows 8 user can freely upgrade their windows 8 to windows 8.1. It is expected that all the problem occurred in Windows 8 will be terminated in Windows 8.1 but still there are some problems left.
The recent problem I faced is the shutdown problem. When we give the command to shutdown the computer, the windows prepares itself to shut it down. It shows ‘Shutting down’ screen and it turns off the display. After that, it is obviously expected that the computer to be shut down completely. But, the computer remains turned on. Only the display gets turned off.
We need either to press the power button to turn it off or leave it for about 10 minutes (not fixed) to let it shutdown itself. This is somewhat annoying. I think the update for windows 8.1 is still incomplete.
I hope, this problem will get solved by windows update.
Finally, my hope came true. Microsoft has released two updates for windows 8.1. After installing those two update, the shutdown problem will no more be available.
